IGNITE BOOT CAMP: Enrollment Day Nov.23rd

We’re 3 weeks out from Enrollment Day for IGNITE.

On Monday November 23rd @ 6PM we’ll begin taking everyday people from all fitness levels through our one-of-a-kind program!

So…what goes on at Ignite you’re wondering?

Good question - we get that a lot - it can be intimidating wondering what’s “behind the scenes”. So here you go:

Ignite includes:

  • 4-6 weeks of physical training, built around making your mind & body strong!
  • 3 sessions per week, jam-packed with 60 minutes of instruction, lifestyle coaching, and workouts designed for your level of fitness
  • Your graduation towards a healthier lifestyle and stronger body
  • Results that you deserve!
  • Total Cost for these 15 sessions $150 – can be paid in installments
  • Classes held on Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday 6-7PM

Now, while most people think that everyone is going to be in amazing shape… the truth is… people finish in amazing shape… it’s OUR job to put you through our program to get you there!

In order to keep quality high in Ignition, we CAP our Enrollment Day.

To get in, it’s just $25 to reserve your spot and begin to look, feel, and be better. Space is limited so sign up now if you are interested.

If you love Enrollment Day, we’ll put that $25 towards the entire program.

If you’re even remotely interested, shoot us a message and we’ll talk, we’ll see if it’s the right fit for you.

Might just be the best $25 you’ve ever spent.

It’s September RVCF!

Just want to let you know about a few things that are happening:

CrossFit Team Series

We have 4 teams participating in this competition so please make room for them in your classes as it’s very difficult for everyone to coordinate times to get these workouts in! We would greatly appreciate any extra cheers of support for the groups that have decided to take on this challenge.  There is one week in September and one week in October that the teams have 6 days to get 4 additional workouts completed.

RVCF TeenFit/KidFit

As this program continues to grow we are making some slight changes.  We are scheduling an additional coach to improve the coach/athlete ratio, which in turn will affect the monthly fee.

Effective October 1st all participants will be charged $50/month (family maximum rates still apply)

Upcoming Competitions

There are a few competitions in the near future that we wish to promote:

Girls Gone RX will be hosted by Railyard CrossFit on Saturday October 10th.  This is an all female event to raise awareness for Breast Cancer

Team SuperFit will be hosted by Brickhouse CrossFit on Saturday November 14th.  This is a 4 person team competition.

Please visit our Facebook page for links to registration for both of these events.

This is our full week to collect for our MISSION OF THE MONTH.  This month we are highlighting CHIP

CHIP stands for Child Health Investment Partnership.  CHIP of Roanoke Valley is an early childhood home visiting program. We pair low-income children, ages birth to kindergarten-entry, with a Community Health Nurse and Family Case Manager for health care coordination (help accessing needed medical services, assistance with the management of chronic conditions, and preventive services like fluoride dental varnish); developmental education, kindergarten preparation and regular child assessment and monitoring.

Their families receive services like anticipatory child development guidance, employment and education support, parent meetings and transportation. These services work to help build parenting capacity and to provide support to families as they set and reach goals and move toward self-sufficiency.

CHIP also offers supplemental case management services that target specific needs: Prenatal Case Management, Mental Health Case Management, and Asthma Case Management.

This month we are collecting the following to benefit CHIP:

*0-5 Board Books*

*Safety gates*

All child safety items- cabinet locks, door knob cover, outlet plugs

Sippy Cups

Developmental toys

In addition, they accept donations of any child items, aimed at Birth-age

7, including used clothing, toys, books, etc.

June 2015

A special thank you to everyone for making our OPEN HOUSE a huge success.  We realize it may not have been convenient for everyone so we invite our members to always bring guests whenever it is convenient! First visit is always free for someone new to CrossFit or anyone considering our CrossFit community.

This month we are continuing in our strength cycle as we head into the summer!  After testing most of our one rep maxes we are back at it and looking forward to continued improvement in both technique and overall strength.  A huge thank you to Coach Lauren Walden for keeping us at our best week after week.

I can’t say enough about our TeenFit and KidFit programs.  Both programs are showing so much growth - not just in numbers but in the output of the participants.  Big thanks to Coach Jacob Lewis and his leadership and programming for this program.

Please note our Mission of the Month is CHIP.  More details can be found on the Mission of the Month page and on the announcement board at the box.  If you have specific questions please contact Coach Kelly Six.

We are gradually replacing some of the broken and damaged equipment (small weights and slam balls).  Please help us take care of this equipment by using it properly and as instructed by your coaches.

Currently our Kid Room is an unsupervised play area.  If you bring your child to a workout they must stay in this room.  We do ask that NO food or drink be brought into the room for the kids.  We also ask that you please help your child clean up after himself/herself and that the room be left in the condition it was found!

July Announcements

Effective July 1, 2015

KidFit and TeenFit will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4-5pm for this month!

KidFit (ages 7-12) & TeenFit (ages 13 & up) will still have separate programs even though they will be operating in the same time slot.

Friday July 3rd will be the day that Roanoke Valley CrossFit observes Independence Day

Please join us for a group WOD at 9am.  We will be closed on Saturday in observance of July 4th!

Stay tuned for our July Mission of the Month
